Well the bleeding is certainly slowing...across the industry.

The Cressida you posted was from the 70's.

If you can find a way to subtract fleet sales from both Toyota and GM then i'll go with your logic. Until then, I'm not so sure.

Re: Toyota October 2009 Sales Down 3.5%

Its unfortunate to see how Toyota has come down in the past 10 years; before my Seville I owned a 2000 Camry LE and it was super reliable for the 40k I put on it. Oil changes, set of tires, front brakes, and a few other odds and ends. I've spent more on my Cadillac in the past year than I did over 2 years with my Toyota; then again, you can't compare a luxury sedan to a midsize car either. I love the old Toyota's, but the new ones just aren't that great to be honest.

Just keep drinking that GM Koolaid.
Toyota is coming back this week.
Not everyone knows that Toyota has jumped the shark.
And there are plenty of great-grandmothers willing to put up cash
for scions and Camrys.
GM is going down if it takes the second coming of the Toyota Echo to make it happen.
LEAVE TOYOTA ALONE!!!

LEAVE THEM ALONE!! I'M SERIOUS.

Aww man...You're putting me in the awkward position of defending a Toyota product.

So, here it goes:

I don't think the FJ is nearly as hideous as a Sequoia. At least the FJ looks kinda like a Jeep/Hummer love child. The Sequoia, on the other hand, looks like it was excreted out the back-end of a very large prehistoric creature.

You just can't compare the two.

Key word there: WAS on the brink of extinction. WAS.

And a bad economy? The economy is entering a period of recovery, in case you failed to notice.

And just as you have a right to cheer GM on, poeple have a right to cheer Toyota on if they chose to do so.
That I'll agree with 100%. However, you have to remember that YOU'RE the one cheering on Toyota on a GM message board, and putting down GM in the process due to your abrasive approach. That, by definition, is trolling.

So go ahead and cheer Toyota all you want.... on a Toyota message board.

Re: Toyota October 2009 Sales Down 3.5%

The guys and gals on ToyotaNation (a Toyota forum I was once a member of) are quite a bit harder on GM than we are around here on Toyota.

I've got to disagree. I think the Sequoia is the better looking of the two (no real compliment) and the Sequoia also isn't dragging Toyota's greatest product ever, the FJ40, through the mud with horrible looks, and an even worse driving (and riding) experience. The visibility is the worst for both driver and rear seat passengers. That thing is nothing short of blasphemy.
Put it this way, a 1st-gen Sequoia (Expedition rip-off) next to a current Sequoia makes the new one look bad, but an FJ40 (Jeep rip-off) next to an FJ Cruiser makes the old one look like a Harley Earl masterpiece.

Sorry we had to disagree on the ugliest current Toyota product, I seem to agree with you most of the time.
