The Fusion is starting to gain some traction and its incredible that Ford right now is the automaker that is in bad shape but have 5 of the top 20 sellers in this list

I can't believe how many minivans Chrysler and Dodge still sell. They haven't been redesigned in like 8 years.

I wonder if the Silverado will pass the F-150 by the end of the year.

OMG look at the Prius, cant believe people are buying it like crazy, dunno if they actually need one or just following the trend? If i m environmentalist, i would be importing a diesel instead of buying a Prius, nothing against hybrid, but just diesel is a better way out when compare to hybrid:P Batteries are not good for environment both the production and after used;p they better ask toyota what they will do to the batteries after 10 years time;o

PS: GM really need a nice compact to compete with that little devil corolla

Put Silverado and Sierra together, and GM is the King of Pickup Trucks... Ford can make the claim that it is the best selling for actual brand, but put the corporation in, and cha-ching, GM's got it. Props to GM.

WOW, 28% increase for the Impala. Was there a big increase in fleet, and just a realization that it is a darn good family sedan value.

Downsizing aside, is Ford really that bad off in your opinion? As a smaller corporation now with the mortgage completely paid off and many new products coming to market soon, and most recent products showing as a sales hit, I see a turn around very soon. If you take away one simple fact that May 2006 sales numbers included 22K Taurus fleet sales (mostly) where 2007 did not, then sales numbers would have shown an increase. It's interesting that with sales numbers down now in comparison, project ahead when Ford will compare to current months and show HUGE increases. Perception will be in their corner anyway.

Diesels are high mileage but pollute a lot. That is, if you only care about mileage, they are fine, but if are actually an enviromentalist and care about pollution, they are not.

Ford is really bad off. They have mortgaged all of their automotive assets to get financing for their turn around plan. Sales are only a part of the equation. How much profit did they make from May's sales? That is the important number. If they lost money, then it was a bad month no matter what the sales numbers look like.

The Prius isn't doing too well. Didn't GMI have a thread on how the Prius is owning Ford in sales?
