Thanks I may be young, but I want GM to be around when I'm older, so I support them now. I thought of used, but new will be much better for me, and GM
And it is competitive, it comes with A/C and stuff base, and the uplevel has power everything and it's still cheaper than the base Honda Fit or Toyo Yaris. It is awesome for a small car

Those Camry numbers are just sick. Why GM doesn't have its priority #1 to build a car that will kill the Camcordtima shows that they are indeed braindead.

Re: March U.S. Car Sales By Model

The thing that will sell the Aveo is the styling and price. Seems like both Honda and Toyota priced themselves out of the sub compact class with their models reaching 15k and 17k respectivly. Edmunds wasn't impressed with the Yaris.

Yes, fuel economy is the primary reason besides low entry prices in this segment. The Aveo just doesn't cut the mustard when it comes to being
fuel efficient. All the other vehicles in it's segment get much better mileage.
The Aveo is in for a tough fight to regain it's leadership in it's segment.

Hello, Aura? Hello, G6? Are you there G6?

GM has a larger share of the sedan market then Toyota does. The Aura is a Camry-killer!

Toyota has one mid-size sedan in this range. One. And it's selling better than any car in America right now.

The new 07 is a hit and these numbers prove it. Wait until numbers come out from the summer months when dealerships have a real inventory, it will be obscene.

GM tried to make the Chevrolet Camry, but they couldn't convince consumers. The reason for the Camry numbers are reputation, pure and simple.

Sexy style, with equivalent quality, will win consumers. A subtle "heritage" Zeta Impala. A Zeta G8. The G6 can become the next Camry/Accord sitting just below the G8. They are already offering many different variants of the G6. A G8 will raise the appeal of the G6.

"Sexy RWD" will raise the luster of the FWDs, and combined sales can surpass the Camry.

The next Impala is going to be great. Retro & RWD = Success that Toyota can't copy!

in terms of winning comparison tests... maybe, we need to see definite production engine specs and interior, but i'm hopeful. sales (and profits) wise??? not a chance in a very hot place. the impala needs something like 35% fleet sales to even get into 3rd/4th place (switching off with altima), and chevy has probably 5-10 times the dealer network of saturn and there is more production capacity for W-bodies than epsilons in NA (for right now). IMO saturn should be dead right now (if it ever should have existed), and the aura should be the next malibu, then maybe the camry could have some real competition. but as a saturn, it simple won't have the sales volume and profit volume to run with the camry.

the G6 is doin fine as a Grand Am replacement and picking up the Grand Prix's slack... but it's still way down to the Japanese Big 3. GM uses all of the W-bodies just to match the Camry. and yes they have epsilon, but it shouldn't take 2 platfroms and 8-10 models to beat 1 platform and 4 models (not even counting the Camry based minivans and crossovers).

I agree. I think the '07 Camry is gonna do REAL WELL. This may be the year that GM is surpassed.

The Aura................a Camry Killer, you've gotta be kidding me, like someone said the only reason the Impala is so high on the sales lists is fleet sales........lay off the saturn kool-aid!

Now let's compare the number of stores selling the cobalt as to the number of toyota dealerships. Those sales numbers are probably not now so impressive for GM. Do the same for Honda(29,623 Civics sold). GM got a ways to go fella's.

Buick is on the way back. The Enclave will help it's luster. But a Zeta GNX will help complete that brand.

A Chevy Stingray Kappa-roadster could help Chevy's luster. Combine that with a Zeta "heritage" inspired Impala.

Initially I thought Buick needed the Velite, but Buick now has some strong products, Velite not withstanding. Give that to Chevy.
1. The Bonneville is dead
2. A RWD vehicle (Pontiac "g8") can't have optional FWD
3. A Velite at Chevy? Nobody would pay $40k for a luxury sedan when it has a bowtie on it, and it fits best with the image Buick wants
