Re: March U.S. Car Sales By Model

GM has some impressive models in there, the Lucerne was really impressive at 8k this month. Once they replace aging models like the grand prix they should should really have room to grow car volume.

Re: March U.S. Car Sales By Model

This is the first list that I've seen that seperates the Matrix from the total Corolla #'s which Toyota doesn't want us to see. Without the Matrix the Corolla and Cobalt sell about equal. Interesting...

For the Avalon just being such a "better" car...it only sold 7 more than the Lucerne..

dcx's 300 has and continues to put a huge dent in cadillac sedan sales. That car saved chrysler from the brink of disbandment

I'd agree that 8,000 sales for the month of March is quite good. What really surprised me was BMW 3 series at more than 10,000.!!

DCX might even be ahead of Toyota too... IIRC, their minivans outsell the Sienna, and the Ram sells better than the Tundra. The whole Jeep line + Durango, I'd bet, outsells Toyota's SUVs. The Tacoma is more popular than the Dakota, though.

Factoring in trucks/SUVs/minivans, it's probably pretty close. If Toyota's still 3rd, it's by a much slimmer margin.

Wow, Lucurne is doing good. Go GM, let's bring in the new sedans, SUV's and Crossovers. Then we'll start gaining some marketshare.

Don't know if anybody noticed....but the Cobalt beat the Corolla by 10 sales! 20,737 to 20,727. Good job GM!!!!!!!!!!! I know it's only 10, but it still wins

Wow, that's funny isn't it? I didn't even notice that. Yay, we beat Toyota in a car segment.
