It's been unraveling for a long time now ... what I saw happening in the 80's in California, I'm observing now in the Midwest. I've seen a lot of older folks in their 70's replace their Cadillac, Chrysler, Buick, or Crown Vic with a Lexus or Toyota in the last few years. I've seen a lot of moms replace their Suburbans, Tahoes, and Cherokees with Lexus SUV's. And young people are 100% import. Once people switch, they rarely come back. The trend says it's not coming back; it's only going to get worse.
One day, when average Americans can't find decent jobs, we'll wake up to the fact that we can't build an economy on debt, financial sleight of hand, and imported goods - we need actual production. But by then Asia will own us.
