I'm extremely surprised by the numbers that Subaru has been putting up this year. I'm also quite surprised by the lacklustre growth of Hyundai/Kia this year.
If GM can only get the Malibu going Chevy would be in great shape...The Cruze, Equinox, Sonic, Impala, Camaro and Silverado are holding strong would be nice to get Malibu in that category.
I have a fear that the upcoming Malibu refresh isn't going to help that much either...I feel like GM needs to start over clean on the Malibu which isn't good considering the car hasn't even been out a year.
WOW! Are the Civic numbers a typo? 39K? And the Civic is supposed to get a CVT for the 14 model year. Accord still strong at 38K,impressive. Is Ford serious about Fusion taking it to the Camry with only 24K in sales vs Camry's 44K (yes they are on a fire sale)?
A standout for GM is the Equinox, strong sales month over month and when was the last time you saw an Equinox commercial? Proof a well thought out and engineered product.
Hell was when the last time GM did anything with the Equinox? its going on 3 years old and not even a single refresh... My sister loves her Equinox and they seem to be nice vehicles but I hope a refresh is coming soon. I would hate for them to let vehicles like the Equinox and Cruze get old and stale.
Worldwide. They are right up there now, what is lacking is the US volume. It'll take time, as its hard to pick up volume when Camry's are selling for the price of Corollas!!!
Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon/YukonXL all went up. Did they start throwing money on the hood in order to start clearing inventory for the new ones? Thought the new ones were still 12 months away?
Are all of those Impala sales the new model? Aren't they supposed to keep the old one in production for fleet sales? If that's all new model, that's damn impressive.
The Camaro's staying power is quite impressive. I enjoyed mine until a deer decided that it and I should part ways. But I didn't think that the market for it would be this long-lasting.

I also wonder whether the new and old Impala figures are still combined. I thought the old Impala was going to be sold as Chevrolet Classic but I don't see it listed anywhere. The Camaro figures are solid. The car looks better today,IMO, than it did when it first came out. The 2014 refresh will continue to keep it popular.
What's up with Hyundai SUV sales? Everything is Elantra/Sonata...and there really are better options in the segment than those two. I can't believe how few Tucsons they move.

A few thoughts:
New Corolla looks pretty strong to me. Once it hits the lots Cruze will have will be lucky to hold the line on sales. Re-do cannot come soon enough. Civic already tearing it up.
Note the Avalon. Some reviewers like it over the Impala but people voting with their wallets apparently disagree.
Altima is a mysery to me as to why it does as well as it does. Nice car but 31,000 sales? Really? Just not a Nissan fan I guess.
I'm not sure which number is more mind numbing... the fact that Honda sold 39, 000 civics with its warmed over refresh... or that almost 24, 000 people bought the horrendous new Toyota rav-4.
I've forgot about the RAV4 honestly. My FIL was looking at them when he bought his Terrain and just couldnt get over the cheap feeling and looking bottom plastic. Yes, the Terrain has it as well but its textured and has a decent design look to it. The RAV4 is quite literally just stuck on plastic.
A couple things about GM's numbers stood out to me. Looks like people like the refreshed Enclave and Traverse, which had nice sales boosts, but the new Acadia did not sell as well as last year. Personally, I think the old Acadia design was better looking than the new snout, which reminds me of the ugly noses on GM's last minivans.
Cadillac had 7,200 SRX sales, nearly double any other Cadillac model.
The Equinox and Terrain have had very few changes except the new V-6 last year and are killing it as well, GM has to be happy with their midsize crossover sales. Bodes well for the Buick Anthem when it arrives. I could see this model potentially being Buick's top seller.
Must be a regional thing. I spent a little time at our place in Florida a couple weeks ago, and I could swear there were 2 Focus ST's at the local Ford Dealership there that were just sitting on the lot. Back here in upstate NY, I KNOW for sure there is a Black Focus ST that is in the exact same spot at our closest dealer (right in front of the showroom, front and center by the sidewalk) that hasn't even moved for over a week.
I think the Equus is actually pretty sweet. The way they sell it is also very interesting and I like it. However, the Genesis is getting a little old but has been a good first run luxury car for sure.
I do think we will see a Genesis brand here shortly as they cant continue to sell them at a Hyundai dealership.
The Equus is extremely nice. I rode around in one in Seoul earlier this summer. It is the vehicle of choice for black car service over there and you see hundreds of them shuttling people around downtown. In terms of comfort and style as a black car service it is better than the Town Car and on par with the S class.
I obviously did not drive the vehicle so I can't comment on that aspect.
To say that Ford is over the moon with 71,000 F truck sales is an understatement.
174,937 retail sales
This month's growth is basically down entirely to retail sales growth.
That performance is impressive.
