It's not the industry that does this, it's the government. Many SUVs are based on cars as well.

I'm really pulling for GM and the other domestics but where I live the asians are killing GM. Young people in there 20's,30's go right by domestic dealerships. GM is coming around, but its taking way to long. I still can't believe the domestics let toyoda come in with lexus and take all those sales. Do they realize how much is at stake?
