I would attribute that to a number of people waiting for the new Accord. I highly doubt they'll be able to keep that momentum.

Thanks Broh. This now makes a trifecta in my family. First my father, then my brother and now me bringing up the rear so to speak. I hope that it is also a good experience for me.

If you would like to read a little more, I started a thread on it yesterday.

My New Car Was Built Yesterday!

Thanks,

Re: GM Canada Jan. Sales skyrocket!

GM is off to a pretty good start in 2008. I hope they are able to keep up the momentum throughout the year. It would be nice to go a couple of months without seeing a doomsday article about how GM is going to go under any second.

We prefer the term "crime fighters" to tighty whiteys. Thank you very much.

Deals spur January vehicle sales

Deals spur January vehicle sales
By GREG KEENAN, Globe and Mail Update

Canadians surged into car dealerships last month and drove off in near-record numbers, pushing the industry to its second-best January sales performance.

Auto makers sold 13 per cent more vehicles last month than they did a year earlier, with strong performances by Honda Canada Inc. and General Motors of Canada Ltd. leading the way among the top five companies in Canada, but with some smaller players also setting records for the month.

Canadians bought 103,137 cars and trucks, compared with 91,398 in January, 2007.
