Ford is doing relatively well, Hyundai is doing surprisingly well and why is KIA outselling Chevy and Honda?

its amazing how less successful the Japanese brands are in Europe vs America. Toyota and Honda are bit players in Germany while Ford is in the top 6.

My guess is Hyundia/Kia have a gigantic assembly plant east of Germany which allows them to under cut everyone else.

I'm surprised that Chevy is sold in Germany, I always thought that Chevy and Opel did not compete against each other. Does this happen in other country's also.

Daewoo/Chevrolet is represented in Germany since 1994.

The volume is quite small but the increase is quite significant.

Any idea which Chevrolet/GMDAT vehicles are contributing to the upsurge?

Incidentally, that fluorescent logo is blinding.

I have a feeling the Germans have a bit more national pride in their homegrown products compared to us Americans.
    1968 Buick Skylark (Buick 350/4)
    1972 Chevrolet Corvette (350 LT-1)
2001 Chevrolet Tahoe LS (5.3 liter)
    1983 Chevrolet C/10 Silverado (350 Goodwrench)

    Former: 1989 GMC Suburban R1500 (5.7 liter)
1969 Buick Skylark Custom (Buick 350/2)
    1971 Buick Riviera (Buick 455)
    1971 Buick Electra 225 (Buick 455)

Without Buick, GM never would have existed.

Interesting... so you get the Spark and we get the GTC? Seems like a reasonable trade.

Is the Cruze available in Germany in any form? I'm assuming it isn't.

    BMW including Mini...hmmm
if you lump Chevy & Opel together then GM is in third at 23,284 units. A sound margin ahead of Mercedes

Cruze is available in Germany since May 2009, only in sedan form. Hatchback will come this summer. Also we have no 1.4T, but a 160hp 2.0 turbo diesel.

That's what Chevrolet currently offers in Germany:
    - Spark (3-door)
    - Aveo (3/4/5-door)
    - Cruze (4-door)
    - Orlando
    - Captiva

    You forgot Smart.

    And now look at VAG:

    VW + Audi + Skoda + Seat + Porsche = 98,558 (of 266,251)

    Impressive.
