General Motors Keeps Truckin’ Along (GM)

http://transport.seekingalpha.com/article/11266
I remember some months ago when some analist where saying that GM should be thrown out of the Dow Jones
Birinyi’s Ticker Sense submits: With gas prices over $3 a gallon and those pesky health care costs, General Motors (GM) has to be one of the weaker performing DJIA members this year, right?
Nope - the stock is currently up 45% this year and by far the best performing stock in the Dow 30:

Looking back to the start of ‘06, GM had the weakest ratings by equity analysts of any stock in the Index and still does - there are currently 4 buy ratings on the stock, 8 holds, and 7 sells. And we all know how hard it is for an analyst to give one of those sell ratings.

Continual bad press and pessimism. Combine that with a "follow the herd" mentality, and you get GM stock being beat down to the point where the stock was just plain undervalued.

The press finally get it that GM car is as good as foreign car , and many
times better and top of that whit stunning design ( vette, solstice, sky
tahoe, HHR ) . And more excitement to come . Future looks very bright .
