The race is on. Consumers embracing capitalism while the government backslides toward communism.

Opel is starting to do so good. They should just change saturn name to opel here in america. I am sure it would sell better. But look at hynd. wow that is amazing. second best selling brand and one of the fastest growing brands. By the end of the year it could be best selling brand.

GM in total (if you count Daewoo... which might not be valid for Russia) is at around 26,000, far and ahead oof any other manufacturer. I hope Chevrolet keeps growing and stays number one... even if it's Russia. Let Americans and their love of all things Camry keep pushing Toyota towards number one... Russia loves Chevrolet!

Russia loves Camry too! Despite a total failure in Europe, sales of the Camry picked up so strong in Russia that Toyo built a whole new plant in St. Petersburg to supply the Russian market.

Please also note that those two make up the bulk of Chevrolet's Russian sales:

Hyundai has a large assembly facility in Russia too.
