Just did some quick math...looks like the Camry outsold the Malibu, G6, and Aura COMBINED for February. That's not good.

Re: February 2008 Sales: Toyota (down 3%)

Wow... I hope that the Camaro can survive a recession... I would love to see the Camaro as a mainstay vehicle in Chevrolet's lineup but the future looks bleak with all the automakers posting declines in sales (save a few automakers here and there)...

GM needs to pull through all this... Toyota... I could care less... but, GM... we cannot lose this battle!!!

GO GM!!! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....

All Toyota has to do is spend some more advertising $$$$ with Motor Trend, and *viola*, a truck of the year award in 2008, even though it's the same POS that lost to the Silverado in 2007. Imagine that.BTW, you spelled the toyota truck name wrong...its spelled: T U R D R A. Just thought I would clear that up!

CR recommends the 4-cylinder Camry, just not the V6, due to reliability problems in the V6. I think there was a specific transmission problem in the first batch of 2008 V6 Camrys which, in theory, has been fixed.

The Prius's sales were actually down in February by 14.5%, although up year to date. It's starting to show it's age, believe it or not (it hasn't been updated significantly since MY 2004).

Rumor is, the brand dies soon.
They screwed up the xB redesign, made it too big and bloated. The market for small hatchbacks like the outgoing xA and new xD in the United States is very small, and the number of players in the market (Scion xD, Nissan Versa, Honda Fit, Chevy Aveo, Saturn Astra, etc.) is high. And the tC is aging and needs a redesign pronto. They spent a lot of money on establishing the brand, and it was doing fine until the 2006 MY. I seriously doubt they kill it.

I guess the new Sequoia didn't take root much.

The tundra was not eligible for the 2007 award.
