The Aura just needs to be advertised more. In fact, all Saturns need to be advertised more. As in individual commercials for each car, not just for the entire brand.

The Maxima is probably being hurt by the new Altima and that its in the last year of this model. Previous years, the Maxima met its stated sales goals of around 70K per year.

So GM has more models and more cars overall than anyone else on the list. I do wonder how the list was derived.

Yes, not to mention it's priced awfully close to the RWD Infiniti G35 - a better example of the "4 door sports sedan" the Maxima was billed as almost 20 years ago.

Re: Dec Sales results, mid size cars from aol
I would imagine some Impala sales are being shifted to the new Malibu...I mean if I had the choice between the two it wouldn't be that difficult of a choice. Remember just as there are imports drivers who won't drive anything but, there are GM drivers who won't drive anything but. It stands to reason that some Impala potential buyers of the Impala decided to forgo a little bit of space for a superior Malibu.

sonota also had 0% for 72 months. put that on a cheap car and you have super cheap payments. i'm sure that resulted in more that a few sales. i remember when we had the 72 hour sale we were selling cars like crazy.

The results are shocking, the Lucerne, G6, Sebring, Charger, and Sonata having increase sales was very surprising but you all are probably right that these sales are attributed to fleet customers but still a sales increase is still a sales increase.
I also noted that sales of the Camry and Accord are not as high as I had expected which is good news. |
