Re: Chrysler October 2009 Sales Down 32%

What's going on here is very weird. The article talks of nothing but increases, yet all the posts are gloom and doom? I think Benz did a lot of damage to Mopar, and if they fail, I think the US gov't should kick Benz's butt CLEAR out of the dang country! Trucks, buses, and their stupid, overpriced status mobile cars too! That'l hurt 'em, not to be able to sell their junk here!

Somebody said you "can't survive on picupks and minivans alone". I say why not? Funny how nobody ever says that about an all compact car lineup.....................

Re: Chrysler October 2009 Sales Down 32%

Our local CDJ dealer has no and I mean no cars. They have not had any for 3 or 4 months. I can not see how they will get anywhere without product. Until the lot is full again there is no way of knowing how many cars they can sell. I see it as much as a product availability issue as much as anything. This is Huffines in Lewisville. I do not know where the next closest dealer is but I do know it is a ways away.

The article was basically Chrysler putting spin on their crappy performance. It fooled me at first too, I originally titled the thread with a sales gain until I read "over September 2009."

Re: Chrysler October 2009 Sales Down 32%

The Bankruptcy left Chrysler with very little inventory and the new start up occurred during the Cash for Clunkers promotion, it is unfortunate. Lets just see what Nov 4 will reveal.

Let's hope some positive news, the Allpar weblog mentions some dark but necessary times http://www.allpar.com/weblogs/2009/1...fans/#comments

Whatever they gained they gave up this year...Chevy was flat & Ford was only down 8.8%, even the Tundra was up 13%!

That would sink Daimler is they lost the US market. Of course all is fair, they ran raped Chrysler and left them for dead so payback is only fair.

Anyways I welcome all Chrysler converts to GM!!! Welcome!!!

Yes and then maybe so.........and I do not trust at this time the Ram Truck split.

Still, it's been a few months, Fiat has reportedly added a second shift at Belvidere and Caliber sales are still measly... Either the demand got completely satisfied by CARS or Fiat is simply trying to clear out the inventory before pronuncing some models and brands dead.

Re: Chrysler October 2009 Sales Down 32%

Hopefully today they will give journalists photos for us as enthusiasts to see ...

they have no product thats new or exciting...

Viper
challenger
charger
300C

Other than the SRT/8 models and their breathern.. and a nice truck line that sucks gasoline down at ridiculous rates..

Who wants a dodge..a chrysler...or even a jeep..?

Redesigned products from Italy can't come soon enough..

Just hope they are styled better than what Mercedes put down when they were in charge..
