Question Please....
Hello All, New guy here and I was looking for some info please. I'm interested in getting the history of my car (1961 Cadillac Town Sedan) and was told I could find it thru "GM HERITAGE CENTER" with as little as my VIN #.....could someone give me a hint how to contact this company and find out what they exactly need to find this past info out ???

I don't know about GM Heritage Center, but there is lots of information on the internet. Here is a page about decoding your VIN Number.

Cadillac for the first time is releasing archive records for the purpose of funding the historical Cadillac Museum. Cadillac is now expanding the range of documentation offered for 1903-1970 models, to include copies of Salesman's Data Books, Operation Manuals, Optional Specifications, etc. Sorry, 1968 record sheets are NOT available. A list of available additional documents for the car will be included or may be requested by mail at no cost.

You can get free information about *your own* Corvair from Chevy. By calling 1-800-222-1020, from 10-2 EST, and giving them your Corvair's: year, model, and VIN (serial) number, they will send you a "Restoration Package."
I membered seeing this on the Corvair Forum. They should have Caddy information. **Edit Looks like GMC took care of you. Let us know if you find anything cool about your car, and we need some pictures.
