I couldn't really make up my mind. Besides my 70 Nova, here's my favorites plus an 87 Buick GNX.

Thanks.
This car was based on the redesigned "G" body which was also the
'78-'83 Malibu, Olds Cutlass & Buick Regal.
The Caddy problem tho was a too sophisticated fuel injection system
that had a nasty habit of breaking down when there were no mechanics around who knew how to work on it!

My preference was the '82-'83 Malibu, especially with the 9C1 options!

No it wasn't. The Seville was the first of what was designated at GM as a "K" body. It did, however, share some bits from the Nova of the time. The front door inner panel, and the trunk floor. Everything else was unique. You can trust me on this. I was there.

You're right , though, about the first fuel injection cars. Mine broke down once in the 2 years I had it. It took the dealer 3 days to fix it.

I think it is a good example of what oil crisis does to a company that heavily depends on gas guzzlers. Of course that is in the past now GM has a lot of efficent cars, though not all of them are avilable in the US.

Re: My favorite Classic GM!

Pah! The Lotus Carlton was nowt more than an Opel with a Vauxhall badge stuck on it. :p

Still the dog's danglies though. Just look at those wheels - 17" they are, I can still remember Autocar & Motor mentioning the size of them. How times have changed! Despite my love for the Lotus-ised 'big wafty barge', I still harbour a secret love for the Prince Henry. Yes, you can call me an old man, but I don't care; gimme the days when Vauxhalls were Vauxhalls and nothing else.

Re: My favorite Classic GM!

1973 GMC Transbus.

Triple Axled and Turbine Powered - what more could a mass transit rider ask for?

I would have gone for the '68 RTX, but:

(a. The Transbus had a better chance of going into production
(b. More Transbuses were made vs. the RTX (3:1)
(c. Transbus had many improvements, but most notably powertrain (Allison GT 404 as opposed to GT 309)
(d. It's hard to find good pictures of the RTX...

Turbo Trans Am did look good. I'm using a fuel pump prescribed for one.

My choice? Buick Reatta
