Monza 'Super Spyder'
Came across an excellent Monza/H-Body reference site and was pretty intrigued by a limited edition Monza known as the 'Super Spyder II' and the curious...'Stiletto'
Flog me if you must, but I've developed somewhat of a curious appreciation for the sleek, Ferrari-looking Monza.......I can only imagine what one would look like if Chevrolet still produced it today...... |

Re: Monza 'Super Spyder'
It started with the Corvair. Here is an early example of that look.

Re: Monza 'Super Spyder'
Those are some gems......that silver one looks like a mutated C3 Vette......or perhaps even a prototype 4-seater. That red one could easily be mistaken for a pure Euro-creation too.....Pininfarina always did very classy work

Re: Monza 'Super Spyder'
I currently own three. Previously i owned two others. Just bought #5 this week. It's a very nice 64 Spyder Convertible.
You can see pics of it here: http://corvaircenter.com/phorum/read.php?1,150675 Corvairs are great cars. They are the best kept secret, and i like it that way. Means i can still afford them. Contrary to popular believe, these cars were never "unsafe". We autocross these cars every year, even the trucks and never had one flip over or burst into flames. Thanks, Curtis |

Re: Monza 'Super Spyder'
Dude! Sweet job rebuilding that 140 w/ 4-1! Always like that setup, but heard lots of horor stories getting it to work in cold weather. (live in WI)
Are you hooked up with a local Corvair Club chapter? Sorry, it's not "teal-ish". LOL (just giving you a hard time) Actual color is Azure Aqua. Car has 33K actual miles and has the original seats. Very happy with the car. My boss's boss told me if i drove it to work again today, he would bring his 63 Comet. (i know, a F%^&) The link has the pics of us out to lunch at a nearby 1930's drive-up stand. Link: http://corvaircenter.com/phorum/read.php?1,152205 |

Re: Monza 'Super Spyder'
Yes I am the Vice Pres. of the River City Corvair Club. I spoke at the wrong time and became Vice.
Without their help, I would be sunk. I am the same darndot at CC, but rarely post. I don't care for having my head bit off for asking newbie questions. You have a very nice car.
