Nice old car- I'd have to see that '60 in person to pass judgement on its real condition, as the bad Northern weather tore those cars up when they were a few years old. It looks like some bubbling at the front fender caps is happening, which was typical for these cars.

Nice car for over 50 years old! Of course being biased to Pontiac's, I would rather have a wide track 60 Bonneville Safari with a 389 and a manual!

I'd agree with you if it was a '59, but the '60 Pontiac just didn't do much for me. I guess I liked the split grill of the '59 and '61 on up...

In '60 I'd have gone with the Chevrolet.

The only GM automatic transmission before 1964, that would last with big power, was the 4 speed Powershift automatic transaxle. It was available with a clutch or without in the 63 Pontiac Tempest or LeMans coupe or wagon with the 421 SD engine.
