Re: Why GM lost a sale for 2007

Wow. It must be hell being a truck purchaser these days. And even with the dizzying amount of options, you didn't find anything for you? You are picky to the point where you're left with no choices, unless deep in your gut you really want to buy a Toyota and this business about GM not offering exactly what you want is just an excuse. Did you look at the car locator feature to see if anyone in the area has something similar to what you want? Personally I have no problem compromising here and there. Your demands ought to be prioritizeable and you should be able to find something that overall pleases you even though it's not EXACTLY 110% what YOU WANT. Or you can wait for dealers to get newer inventory, or check out Ford or Dodge before giving your hard-earned cash to the enemy.

Snivel...Snivel................RUN down to your local toyoyo dealer !!!!!!!!
THEY will tell YOU which options and packages THEY build. Then either
take it or leave it............

No better than GM, DCX, Ford ! They just give you a lot LESS choices.

Save your sanity !!!! Order the exact vehicle you want..............

Re: Why GM lost a sale for 2007

There shouldn't be any reason why you can't order exactly what you want. Why can Mini have so many different options? It's not like BMW makes 800k of them a year.

And what's the point of offering colors like Bermuda Blue, if it's not even produced for the full model year, and the dealers supposedly won't order a truck with it?

I never got why certain models didn't have certain paint selections. C'mon, I'm sure they don't have to pull the Avalanche to a different line for a color like Bermuda Blue.

Bermuda Blue is not a popular color and many find it as ugly.

Re: Why GM lost a sale for 2007

Avalances and Tahoes are high end vehicles that are more expensive then trucks and T/blazers, people that buy these are familys and the like, Why put bermuda blue on a 1 ton truck and through it in the bush, imagin that after couple weeks, it is a premium paint at extra cost, so they are not gonna blast it on every car on the lot, like the diamond white on Caddies, it is ONLY found on caddies,

If your buying a base cobalt you are not gonna pay an extra 500 for a paint job, there are various reasons, and GM gives customers the most options and variations in their vehicles..

you cant get bermuda blue on anything else either so WTF, like the other day got this customer wants a cobalt, wants on star and threatens me that she will buy a honda if I dont get her one, so I say well Honda dont even OFFER it, or fog lights or leather trim, of a S/C engine and less warranty, so fly at it, pay more for less of a car.

dont make sense to me but whatever.

'

GM offers the most as far as customer options like I said. Toyota has 2 enginse 4.7 and 5.7...NO DISPLACEMENT ON DEMAND, GM offers

6.0 with DOD
5.3 with DOD aluminum block or cast iron, and Flex fuel or no flex fuel
4.8
4.3

by my count that is 7 engine choices to 2
onstar on toyota NO
stabilitrack on toyota kinda no pro active roll over, hence the 3 rating on its roll over GM got 4
gas milage.....ya chev wins here to
autotrac....toyota NO
DVD and Sunroof toyota dont think so you get either or
locking storage un rear seat...toyota NO

I mean I can go on here lots but basically go get ta toyota it dont matter what you say, bottom line is GM is better, has more choices, less expensive, better rates, better gas milage, pulls more, (outside of Regular cab long box)....man Toyota got 3rd place as far as motor trenad and car and driver goes, Nissan even beat them.....

Should we go to teh safety ratings on the trucks or is this enough for you???

cause ya they failed that to!!

in case its not enough

locking rear diff.....toyota NO
my GOD payload 2010 toyota...1395???? WTF my car hauls that much\
tow/haul mode ...TOYOTA NO
stadium fold up rear seats...toyota NO
WARRANTY GM 5-160 Toyota 5-100....come on toyota if your so good step up

Re: Why GM lost a sale for 2007

Man ya'll are makin me laugh on this.
I feel for the OP Personaly I think he will need to order his Avalanch (if he can option it out correct)
I believe the avi is like the burb and tahoe there is a diferent interior coloring (two tone seats) and the guage cluster is uniqe too.

I'm in the same boat as the OP, the CC trucks do not have A/C vents for the rear (I'm looking at a 3500 LTZ) and being that I've got kids that is a big deal.
