Many of us out here in working land still would like a manual shift HD truck with or without the diesel engine. Right now the only choices are from ford and dodge. Make it an extra cost option like automatics used to be if you have to, but don't force me to go to Ford or Dodge to get my manual. Some people say, well Ford and Dodge are getting rid of their manuals as well, thats even more of a reason to bring it back and get all of that market. Offer it only on the work truck line, but offer it again.

I like the control of a manual with heavy loads and the ability to down shift certainly adds a level of control on steep hills. Plus its a lot cheaper for me to replace a clutch when it wears out than to pay out BIG$$$ to rebuilt a broken automatic.

I know you won't sell more than 10% of trucks equipped this way, but how many people order reg cabs, or vinyl seats anymore, but you still offer those options. A lot of us still want to buy real working low option trucks with a clutch at reasonable prices.

Anyone else out there want to buy one?

WOW they are, ALL GM are now 6 speed TAP SHIFT same fricking the without the clutch, put it in manual and haul ass in 1st gear all day long.

Why is this different?, cause you have no clutch to push in and replace every 2 years, you can still hold gears for big loads, and downshift whenever, now all ya do is push the button.

WOW people get off the manual crap, they suck you dont get the Allison with a stick so why would ya want it, the tap shift is easier, less maintance, nicer, smoother, 6 spped VS 5...blah blah

One guy here posted correct, 3 people maybe in Canada and US want it so Why bother, the last one we got on trade, we thoguht oh cool a 5 gear, so I called ALLLLL Those people who would only buy a stick, and NOT one of them bought it of the 6 and I remmber cause I was pissed, 'I will only buy a manual' 3 did not know the manaul was NOT the allison, so kybosh that, and the other, eneded up with autos...why?, well the wifes spoke up cause no way in hell she is driving a maunal, BUT she will drive a tap shift 6 speed with ease.

anyhow get over it manual or auto the new ones do it both. anything else someone needs to complain about GM for doing supposedly wrong. maybe if the other guys could use cdurrent technoligy THEY would use the tap shift to instead of old school clutchs and sticks.
