I would like to see a Minnesota edition of the Chevy Colorado.

This would be a package to the existing Colorado that contains the following features:
  • Remote start
  • Heated washer nozzles
  • Heated mirrors
  • Head light washer nozzles (bmw x3)
  • Heated washer fluid (buick lucurne)
  • 4 wheel drive
  • 3.5l v6 flexfuel engine (Minnesota is big on e85) currently @ $2.02/gallon
  • Plug-in block heater
  • All-season floor material (like the FJ Cruiser)
If you build it I will buy it.

HAHAHA! I could see a cold weather package but I wouldn't name it the Minnesota edition (even though I was born there). Might want to add a plug in block heater.

Yeah, why not bring back the North Face Edition like the 03 Avalanche had?

Oh yeah and rubber floors. something real rugged. Anyone living in the northern states knows how dirty carpet can get with snow and salt outside.

Yep. I'm still trying to get some of the salt out of my floor. Can't you get rubber floors with the Colorado/Canyon though? I'd imagine you can, it's a pickup after all...

Re: I would like to see a Minnesota edition of the Chevy Colorado.

I purchased me some rubber mats.. Even though they say Saturn on them as I bought the Ion ones for my Cobalt.

Seriously though.. A heavy duty floor... I've seen it before in S-10s.. is it an option on the Colorado/Canyon?

That sounds like a great package for the northern states and Canada.

I would add:
Fog Lights (Front and Rear)
Fender Flares (or Mud Flaps)
Locking Reaf Diff.
Locking Transfer Case Diff. (viscous fliud or electronic)

6-Speed transmission (MANUAL) with a "granny" first gear.

6-Speed transmission (Automatic) with the ability to start in any gear you want, this comes in handy on slippery hills where starting in 2nd or 3rd (depending on ratio) is better than first since it limits torque (which produces wheelspin), it is also good for going down hills and being able to select and hold one gear.

The all season floor material is a great idea, even out here it would be nice to just hose out the mud and rocks after going off-road. As long as there is good sound insulation under the rubber floor material who notices the carpet anyway - Even the factory mats cover most of the floor.

Sounds like what you REALLY want is a Subaru Legacy.

The Colorado is fine as is. Some people are just too soft to drive trucks...

3 - No, it was an option on the S10/Sonoma that never made it's way to the Colorado/Canyon.
7 - No, there was a 3.5 engine but it was an I5 not a V6 and was never FlexFuel. It has be upgraded to an I5 3.7 which is still not FlexFuel.
6&8 - These are options and he isn't saying that they are unavailable but rather that he would include them in this special edition package he is dreaming up. Like the Sierra Nevada Edition trucks, sure you could get step rails and deep tint glass as options on any Seirra but then it wasn't a Nevada Edition.
9 - Yes, work trucks have rubber floors but a lot of the heated items he is looking for are considered somewhat luxury items and not likely to be made available on a W/T.
And 5 doesn't even need to be retrofitted, those are available through the aftermarket now too.

Re: I would like to see a Minnesota edition of the Chevy Colorado.

My bad, I misread the V6 part. Would one fit? I'm basing this on the fact that they're only sold with inline engines

Re: I would like to see a Minnesota edition of the Chevy Colorado.

You want a state specific edition to a truck that's named after a state?

How about those new Toyota Oklahomas? I hear the Texas edition is pretty nice.

Re: I would like to see a Minnesota edition of the Chevy Colorado.

All that would be nice but a C/C Cloroado goes for over 35G here and a full size with eveything you want goes for around 40G and a V6 in the colorado and gas milage would be the same....SO....why?

Sides it get a V8 next year anyhow

I sure hope a $35 Colorado doesn't sell at MSRP
