    Dirty volt

After driving my 2012 volt for a few days, what a mess of sand and fines between the hatch rubber and the hatch door or the rain gutter, there is so much dirt you have to use a vaccum to clean up. Wish i knew how to send pictures - - poor design - - -hope the doors don't do the same

    Re: Dirty volt

I also noticed my Volt picks up dirt in the rear. I think this is one of the downsides of it being very aerodynamic. It's interesting to see a very pronounced area of dust, starting at the crease where the rear portion of the car begins. Not a problem for me as the dust only covers the rear panels and gets under the hatch but not pass the weatherstripping, so interior stays clean.

It happens in a lot of hatchback vehicles. My Golf had it insanely bad after a rain storm. It's just the nature of the hatch and the low pressure area they create.

The fact that there is dirt inside that area and not inside the car means thats how its supposed to work.
