Smile Diesel and a six Speed please for the SUV's

Please take a leaf from Mercedes,

Give us a diesel to be proud of for a Tahoe/Suburban and a Six speed box on a gas or diesel engine.

Please

Mark

Re: Diesel and a six Speed please for the SUV's

6-speeds are coming, production needs to get higher.

I haven't looked at the ordering guide for 2008, but it wouldn't shock me if mid-year they introduced them.

Are you at a GM dealer? Do you have the 2008 ordering guide? Would be nice to confirm if 6-spd will be available right away on 08's. I've checked GM's media site; Kelly Blue Book; and the EPA's Fuel Econ site, but none have any info yet on 08 Tahoes or Yukons.

Ford's 08 info is up for the Expedition, and I'm sad to say that the FFV version of the 5.4L V8 that is available on the F-150 is still not available on the Expedition.

There are no 6 speeds for the start of 2008 on the tahoes or yukons or light duty trucks.

Hell for all sedans as well, diesel should be an option (incl turbo) on all vehicles.

Seems to me that if the 6-speed trannys are important enuf issue for you to "leave it at the dealership", that it would have been something you checked out before ordering it. There has been no mention of 6-speeds in the 900SUV's or 1500's. I bet we dont see the 6-speeds until 09.

This is a big problem and with surcharges for gas guzler taxes. Its becoming a big deal. GM needs to recognize the need and get it done. 6 speed trans and more are going to be needed to compete effectivly....
