![]() I think there are plenty of 4 doors that will suit your needs. If it was me I wait a couple of years and let them get to the monkey stage and then pick up a fun 2 door. My kids have no problem climbing in and out of the Goat. Granted it is easier for them in the wife's Daytona. Camaro needed to be here yesterday, not tommorow. If it were my only vehicle then I agree the camaro is a little tougher than say a G8 Gt... If your better half has a nice four door then use that for most family trips etc...and on the days you need to travel and pick up the kiddies...Grin and bear it because all the time your driving that new Camaro SS... You'll be laughing your @ss off as you hammer the throttle and carve those corners.. Awesome car and of course all sports cars and pony car two door vehicles....require a practicality sacrifice.. You either get it or you don't. Thats a personal choice. I've been owning vettes for over a decade and my kid digs travelling in it.. Part of the father son bonding experience.. Sacrifices? Yes.. worth the sacrifices...? To me? without a doubt. Awesome car the new camaro SS..

![]() I've had ~17 cars and only 3 have been Japanese (1 Dodge and the rest were GM), so I wouldn't agree that I only buy Japanese. Nissan's have been very very good to me so any reason to leave them would have to be pretty compelling at this point.

Re: Camaro should of waited
Because you can't buy a manual transmission in a sedan from GM without spending 40K
Please tell me what competition the '03 Maxima (260HP, 6 speed, HID, Nav, HLSD) had from GM.......NOTHING. You can't buy a sedan from GM today that matches up to my 7 year old Max for less than 60K ![]()

Re: Camaro should of waited
If Chevy made a great new Impala, maybe it would sell well, too. I know the current ones do sell pretty well, but at a substantial discount. In the Chicago area you can get more than $5K off the sticker. If a new one was built that sold as well as the current model but at or near sticker, GM would make a helluva lot more money on them.

The new Taurus is here now, GM needs an all new Impala last year. By the time the Cruze debuts it will be up against the next gen Civic and the excellent new Euro Ford Fiesta and Focus. But hey it's clear where GM's priorities are, Bob Lutz running his mouth over the 65K CTS-V for example. |
