Thanks for that resource. For some folks, seeing "should of" is as hard to not notice as someone running a red light, though of course the consequences are far less dire for "should of". But with science and general literacy in the US at lows far below much of the rest of the "developed" world, I feel that knowing and using basics of one's own language are an obvious benefit.

What is this off-topic BS anyway? I thought we were talking about the new Camaro?

Even though I was hesitant before the launch, I now disagree that GM should have waited...the sales are necessary Right Now! Bravo!

Then you slide the seat up and buckle her in. The seats are there to sit in. To sit in them you must be able to access them. If you can sit in them, you can be there for 10 seconds to buckle a kid in. For me, it would be a tradeoff for driving a Camaro.

But hey, if you want everything to be 100% suited for you, buy a Malibu or Camry or Accord or whatever else you want. I'd gladly trade a small discomfort for a Camaro.

LOL I did this for all of 3 months in a 97 Cobra, lost the love for the car fast with 2 screaming kids that cant see out windows sothey get car sick, and chlosterphobic....its no fun....and my kids are far from spoiled....and its not YOUR discomfort its THEIRS....shove yourself in the backseat. maybe think of them for half a sec. but anyhow...

as for hte grammer for me its more speed I dont like typing commas and crap it takes 2 much time, and is stupid, ppl know what your talking about and can read it, spelling mistakes or not, so really...what is the point, this is not high school and the reference of running a red light....really....when is hte last time someone typeod somehtig killed someone.

Re: Camaro should of waited

If GM waited any longer all the people who were interested in the camaro when it was shown as a showcar would have grown too old to drive..

As it was the camaro was released after the challenger and the mustang...

The media was about ready to say GM was too slow to compete when the camaro sales number came in..

its outsold the 2010 class sales leader in the pony car war three months in a row..

Not only that...the car gets very good fuel economy numbers too boot ..

I see the camaro SS as a true competitor instead of buying a 335 or M3 coupe..

Its truly a show car being sold in the showrooms starting at 23 grand ...

The base 23 grand model comes with a 300 hp V6 which is optional in the 50 percent more expensive Cadillac CTS...

I am glad GM didn't wait another moment...and the camaro not only sells at MSRP...it drives in a lot traffic who end up with a 2010 equinox or malibu or whatever...

but the Camaro is the car they came in to look at and see...

They just want or think they need four doors..

Like I said, you don't have kids. Trying to wedge yourself between a seat and the door frame to buckle/unbuckle everytime you go somewhere gets old -really- quick. kid banging her head getting in and out, me banging my head trying to get in under the low roofline. Ugh. Is it possible? Sure. Are you going to want to trade the car in after a month? Yes. Honestly, just wouldn't be worth it to me. I'd take the G8, even with the stupid name, any time over a Camaro.

SS could outrun a 335 but it was 15 seconds slower around Nurburgring than the M3. M3 is a whole different class of car. I don't see how they are remotely comparable.

Successful troll is successful...

On topic: The Camaro is an image car and a showroom traffic car. Camaro will sell Malibus just like Mustangs sell Fusions.

I guess I can agree, but seeing people type "loose" when they should be using "lose" is right up there also.

I hate the whole "their, they're, and there" thing. It really isn't that difficult.

Re: Camaro should of waited

I disagree with the entire topic. "Should of" strongly suggests minimal understanding of written English. Spoken English has lower standards, so it's okay there. Study hard in grade school, you'll get it!
Should the Camaro have waited? No, of course not. GM needs product, GM needs cars that engender passion, and Camaro fills the bill. If it hadn't come out before the bankruptcy, it never would have arrived.
