Saturn Website Hints At A Future Product Development

From the Saturn website:

RETHINK MATH

4×6 = 33

No, we do not need to study our multiplication tables or change the batteries in our calculator.

Stay tuned and in the coming weeks, we’ll explain how our new math works.

We’ll also tell you why, in 2009, “ XXXIII” is going to be an important number at Saturn.

Re: Saturn Website Hints At Future Product Change

Comments on the Saturn website are guessing 33 Miles Per Gallon from a four cylinder equipped with a six speed transmission, or 33 Electric-Only Miles from a hybrid.

Would seem to be the most logical... though around here I think we would all rather see their odd math get 36 or more.

Re: Saturn Website Hints At A Future Product Development

4 = 4-cylinder engine
6 = 6-speed automatic transmission
33 = highway miles per gallon

33 MPG highway is similar to the Malibu's rating. That means that the AURA will most likely be getting the I-4/6A that the Malibu has. THAT means that, once again, the AURA is really nothing more than a reskinned Malibu. Or, the other way around, maybe (Malibu = reskinned AURA).

The Astra is becoming the official Belgian compact car of the 2000 Superbowl.

Please be 33 MPG city for the Two Mode Vue Greenline. I don't think the Plug in Vue is coming until 2010 or so.

Well the G8 and Silverado share powertrain's and that doesn't mean that they are reskinned!!!

Yes, the Aura and Malibu are on the same platform. From the outside, it is damn hard to tell compared to GM cars of old.

The LWB brotherhood yes, but not first of the Epsilon's.

Re: Saturn Website Hints At A Future Product Development

I would have to agree on the malibu being a reskinned aura. I own an aura and ive been inside and driven the malibu. The malibu and aura are 97% the same. They drive the same, feel the same, look the same on the side just gm through a different front and rear end. Heck the interior is 90% the same except for the dash. Everything else is almost identical. Just pick which one you like better and on looks i liked the aura better. On interior i liked the malibu.

Or maybe it's the sales totals for the Outlook.

Please don't remind me. I've been trying so hard to forget that.
