'07 Aura XE: Special Edition Package

GM has just updated their 2007 Online Order/Reference Guide and it now includes a Special Edition Package for the 2007 Saturn Aura XE. This package requires that you select the Premium Trim Package and also the Preferred Package. The Special Edition Package allows you to order an Aura XE with black leather or Morocco brown leather. It also gives the Aura XE 18 inch, 5 spoke ultra-bright alloy wheels (different from the XR) and 18 inch touring tires. No pictures yet and no word on pricing.

Sounds pretty cool, although it's with the XE model.

i sure hope those wheels look better than the ones they put on the production car. it seems like the car lost alot of it's flavor when they didn't make rims similar to the show cars an option.

Re: '07 Aura XE: Special Edition Package

Actually with the Aura the XE looks better than the XR. For some reason the XE with the 17's sits lower on the suspension and the XR sits higher in the rear. So to me the XE looks better.

I wish they would do this to the Green Line. The small wheels as tires make it look to plain and cheap.

smaller wheels and tires weigh less and create less drag, which is better for an economy car. that's why all hybrids tend to have such cheesy wheels and tires. it's not about style, it's for a purpose.

Re: '07 Aura XE: Special Edition Package

I wonder if the 5-spoke ultra-brights are the same ones the G6 GTP has? I hope not, but that sounds like something GM would do. Nonetheless, they are hot rims.

I'm all for five-spokes. Nothing looks better than a well-done five-spoke rim. I personally agree that the Aura currently looks best with the five-spoke on the XE, though five thinner spokes would be even better. (I'm not even sure these are real alloys, the GM site talks about "five-spoke wheel trim," but they look good from a distance.)

I'll never see that point of multi-spoke rims like those on the XR. They don't look as good, and they're a pain to clean.

Yeah, that would be a cheap move, BUT the G6 GTP rims are the hottest factory rims out there, IMO
