    Updated LaCrosse Spotted in China

2014 Buick LaCrosse Facelift Spotted in China
    by Mihnea Radu
    28th December 2012

The second generation Buick LeCrosse was launched in 2009 as a 2010 model year in the US. The car is built on the same architecture as the Opel Insignia and the now dead Saab 9-5. It proved popular in the US, but the Chinese market is where this 4-door mid-sized sedan shines best.

Last year, US customers bought 69,474 LeCrosse sedans, but their Chinese counterparts gobbled up more than 100,000.

Looks like a reserved but handsome update to me. The rear end doesn't look too much different, but seems more upscale somehow. The interior is getting tweaked too, but I wonder if any powertrain options would also be available?

I'm going to have to see that rear end in person, but overall it looks good.

Looks like a pretty extensive interior refresh as well.

Meh. They hit it with the ugly stick like they did with the first gen LaCrosse. That bigger grille doesn't suit the cars design. Though I love that they are giving it the Regal's eye brows in the headlights. The taillights have an E Class look to them now.

looks frumpy, stumpy, portly, & dumpy, it looks like the bad proportioned XTS, and next Gen Impala. I wish there was a way to make EPII look more sleek like some of there FWD competition.

ok i saw it. i like the LED lights upfront. Also, I noticed the Buick logo on the trunk; does China use the tri-colored tri-shield Buick logo or is that making a come back? I remember my cousin had a big black early 80's Electra with the tri-color tri-shield logo so I just had flashbacks seeing it on this black LaCrosse.

Re: Updated LaCrosse Spotted in China

Size wise this looks I little more like the Regal. Are we sure this is a LaCrosse?

Overall I like it however its going to have a pretty high hood line. Also its interesting that there is a mouse touch pad thing on the console (ala Audi and Lexus (sorta)).
I'm sorry, if you were right, I'd agree with you.

China uses the colored Buick badge. I imagine that we are still getting the all chrome badge in N.A.

Did they hire a designer from Mazda to do the grill? All kidding aside, I think it looks good. Whether it's enough remains to be seen.
