Re: Regal Not Yet Approved For NA

This is a nice looking sedan and would sell well, in my opinion, as either a Buick, Pontiac or Saturn. My preference would be to add it to the Buick offerings, provided that they maintain a luxury feel to the interior. Gun metal gray plastics and brushed metal trim are not signature Buick pieces.
Cheers,
Ed

Vue as the Rendezvous and sky (if still around) redone as Bengal
Invicta as itsself and China's Park Ave.
and Enclave.....
done!~
I'd say whatever comes out out Saturn-Saab being sold, would determine who and what comes out and to whom. If Saab's gone than either Buick or Saturn should move into a FULL Euro role.If Saturn is sold than either Pontiac or Buick should in.

Really, GM only needs Chevy(budget),{Buick,Saturn OR Saab**Middle market,Caddy(high end) & maybe GMC(Trucks)

*Astra could Pontiac G2 or Saab 9.1-2

*Sky could be Saab Sonnet!

There, the Regal is the top-end, Malibu is middle, and AURA is lower middle. It would be just like it already is. Each car would continue to appeal to different buyers, because they won't be a classic GM rebadge.

Oh, and the reason you need that is to appeal to different buyers. I no people who won't step foot in a Chevy dealer, but they would go to a Saturn dealer. Some people won't go to a BPG dealer, but they would buy a Chevy. You need to get word of the best car in the world IMO out to everyone you can! Have people who drive buy a Saturn, Chevy or BPG dealer want to stop and go inside when the see the "Insignia version" out on the lot.
The Aura is above the Malibu. Not the other way around.

It's typical of GM to pull something like that.

Re: Regal Not Yet Approved For NA

The most important thing for GMNA to do with this car is bring it over under one brand and keep it under that brand and not change it after the event. If they bring it as the Aura and then kill Saturn 6 months later they messed up the relauch for Buick.

Buick seems to be the most stable of the two brands at the moment, and this car should bring Buick more street cred etc and boost the brand alot more.

Re: Regal Not Yet Approved For NA

Pretty nice looking car other than the plainess to the sides, the silly side air extractors and the Nike swoosh which I could do without. The interior is nice also. Give me one with the 3.0 DI V6, 3 side port holes and a chrome accent body molding and I would buy one.

Re: Regal Not Yet Approved For NA

Of course GM hasn't greenlit the Regal for sale in the US.
Why would Red Ink Rick want to sell a desireable Buick in NA? Has anything this clod has done made any sense?
The LaCrosse should have been renamed Invicta.
This Regal should have slotted under it. Then the rest of the Opels could come over here.
Opel Astra=Buick Skylark
Opel Insignia=Buick Regal
Buick LaCrosse=Invicta
Buick Park Avenue
Saturn Sky=Buick Bengal
Buick Riviera
Opel Meriva=Buick Rendevouz or a different name
Buick Enclave

If Pontiac lives perhaps the Astra could become a Pontiac instead of Buick getting it, the Corsa can become the Pontiac LeMans, then a Firebird, and the G8 becomes the Grand Prix.
So:
Opel Corsa=Pontiac LeMans
Opel Astra=Pontiac Sunfire or Sunbird or Grand Am (I prefer Grand Am)
Firebird
G8=Grand Prix
Soltstice

The G8ST becomes the Chevy El Camino which it should have been in the first place.

Sounds like an amazing lineup doesn't it? Get you head out of your ass, GM!

It looks like a Mercury . Good fit for Buick IMO.~
I agree. It really looks too nice to be a Saturn. I really hope we get this car here in the US & soon.

I to think it looks a bit like a Mercury, which in my opinion is a great thing.
