Re: Regal Not Yet Approved For NA
This is a nice looking sedan and would sell well, in my opinion, as either a Buick, Pontiac or Saturn. My preference would be to add it to the Buick offerings, provided that they maintain a luxury feel to the interior. Gun metal gray plastics and brushed metal trim are not signature Buick pieces.
Cheers, Ed |

Re: Regal Not Yet Approved For NA
The most important thing for GMNA to do with this car is bring it over under one brand and keep it under that brand and not change it after the event. If they bring it as the Aura and then kill Saturn 6 months later they messed up the relauch for Buick.
Buick seems to be the most stable of the two brands at the moment, and this car should bring Buick more street cred etc and boost the brand alot more.

Re: Regal Not Yet Approved For NA
Pretty nice looking car other than the plainess to the sides, the silly side air extractors and the Nike swoosh which I could do without. The interior is nice also. Give me one with the 3.0 DI V6, 3 side port holes and a chrome accent body molding and I would buy one.

Re: Regal Not Yet Approved For NA
Of course GM hasn't greenlit the Regal for sale in the US.
Why would Red Ink Rick want to sell a desireable Buick in NA? Has anything this clod has done made any sense? The LaCrosse should have been renamed Invicta. This Regal should have slotted under it. Then the rest of the Opels could come over here. Opel Astra=Buick Skylark Opel Insignia=Buick Regal Buick LaCrosse=Invicta Buick Park Avenue Saturn Sky=Buick Bengal Buick Riviera Opel Meriva=Buick Rendevouz or a different name Buick Enclave If Pontiac lives perhaps the Astra could become a Pontiac instead of Buick getting it, the Corsa can become the Pontiac LeMans, then a Firebird, and the G8 becomes the Grand Prix. So: Opel Corsa=Pontiac LeMans Opel Astra=Pontiac Sunfire or Sunbird or Grand Am (I prefer Grand Am) Firebird G8=Grand Prix Soltstice The G8ST becomes the Chevy El Camino which it should have been in the first place. Sounds like an amazing lineup doesn't it? Get you head out of your ass, GM! Last edited by steve333 : 12-30-2008 at 01:56 PM. |

I to think it looks a bit like a Mercury, which in my opinion is a great thing.
