Re: Production Buick "Business Concept" spied and interior revealed
The interior is disgusting & the exterior is horrible as well.
The portholes are on top of the fenders were they should not be at all. They should either be on the side of the fender(as tradition would dictate) or on the side of the engine hood like the Enclave or don't put them on the vehicle at all. I am glad this ugly thing is staying in China. !!!

GM keeps showing concept cars with that cool flush-fit side glass.
They really need to figure out how to produce something like that for sale. |

I don't know how to start a new thread...I'd love to post one asking if anyone has any idea what concepts and production cars we might be seeing at New York, Detroit and LA.

I really don't see a market for a luxury minivan in America, but I don't see any reason why GM can't Chevy it up a bit on the inside and out and bring it as Chevy's minivan offering. Can't be that hard to do, right?

The only thing I could possibly see happening w/this that could make it to NA/US is that some variation of the front fascia to be put on the MCE or 2nd gen. Enclave. Though IMO, that doesn't need to happen. ![]() !!!!!

Re: Production Buick "Business Concept" spied and interior revealed
I would imagine the big red button is just an emergency stop button used on a mule during testing where things are likely to go wrong. It also has the airbag disabled so they can have the test equipment installed.
This will be successful in China. The way these vehicles are used there is as company buses - picking overseas visitors and their luggage from airports and taking them to the factory for instance or else they get used for picking up things like computers from stores. They really are an appropriate vehicle for those uses. I was picked up often in GL8s and always found them a pleasant enough vehicle. There is also the point that it is better to pick up Americans in a car with a name plate they know - it makes them more comfortable than a Jinbei (a Hiace made under licence) would be. |
