I see no trace of the sweep spear that Welburn had said was an essential aspect of Buick DNA...something I agree with.

I kinda see something like it, but really hard to judge with the camo.

Are we sure that's not a Hyundai Elantra?

The Cruze looks better, at least with the large five-spoke alloys they put on it for NAIAS last year.

Just noticed the windowlettes ahead of the doors. Can't say I'm a fan of the driving position in cars that need those, like the Lexus HS.

Re: New Buick Delta II (Astra Sedan) pics

having all that camo paint on the car actually makes it stand out more in a car park if it didnt have any at all it may have gone un noticed.

Will be a interesting comparison between the Astra and Buicks version to see if they are much different.

I think this would be good for buick. Now buick needs a flagship sedan to be a true lexus fighter.

Re: New Buick Delta II (Astra Sedan) pics

I agree with John Starnes. I'll have to see more details of body contouring before I make a final judgment. At first glance it appears to simply be a re-roofed Cruze with Opel Astra front clip. Hopefully it'll have a more distinctive look when it appears.

Edit: after viewing pics of the front, I'd have to say it already looks different enough from the Cruze to keep from looking like a "nose job". Looks good so far.

Re: New Buick Delta II (Astra Sedan) pics

I'm thinking its going to have the same body lines of the Insignia/Regal. You can see the lower one on the door, and if you follow the line coming from the rear taillight, you can totally see it.

Re: New Buick Delta II (Astra Sedan) pics

I suppose the Chinese will like it. They're less encumbered by 70 years of "brand-blindness" as we are in the States and Western Europe.

I suspect that when this is revealed we'll find that it shares door-skins and roof panel with the Cruze,(sorry John) all other sheetmetal being exclusive. Kinda' like what Ford did with the Fusion-Milan-MKZ trio.

If such a car is intended for Buick in NA, I think we'll see more distinct bodywork to seperate it from Cruze.

EDIT: I HOPE we'll see more distictive sheetmetal for NA.

It would be slotted in below the Lacrosse model in the Buick range.
That should read "...below the REGAL.." shouldn't it?

The one rear shot definitely resembles the Lexus IS series here as well. It's difficult to tell with the camo, but I'd like to see an aggressive front end more like the IS.

It's interesting to note that there is a Cruze sitting beside it in one shot and what appears to be an Insignia in another.

Re: New Buick Delta II (Astra Sedan) pics

Amazing I knew GM had it's head on straight!!!!! Buick is going to be so hot and will sell enough to cover Saturn and their current levels with better profit margins.
