I do believe this car has what it takes to increase sales of the outgoing model. First off, the 2010 LaCrosse is already being compared favorably to the Lexus ES. The last gen LaCrosse could barely win comparisons with a Big Wheel...
Secondly, the new LaCrosse is actually going to have an ad campaign with Bob Lutz at the helm... I remember one first gen LaCrosse commercial back in about '05... Nothing since.
Also, I don't believe a single first gen LaCrosse was ever sold without cash on the hood. That should not be a problem with the 2010 model.

Buick has made a world class mainstream sedan... I know it's been a while, but Buick is poised to take back their crown as the best "near luxury" brand. Like the Enclave before it, the LaCrosse will be a hit in its sales segment. No, it won't sell like a Camry, Accord, or even a Malibu, but for its segment it will sell well. Go Buick!

I know...even driving a G8 GT daily that turns into a question fest everywhere, and just is a beast, I got the "feeling" for this car from just playing with it. Not a hardcore driver's machine, of course, but from the outside look to the impeccable (holy crap, literally, even looking in the spots you'd never think to...well done), it felt rich, classy, and extremely high tech. The best FWD/AWD mid-larger $30-40k luxury sedan available here, period--it's not a BMW/CTS/etc. competitor, but will run over Lexus ES's and others all day long.

All that buttery leather, stitched dash and push button start must have done it for me

Do not order them if you do not like them...They are options.

Actually, Buick is ahead of the curve, save a few really expensive cars, in integrating them into rear seats from the factory. Much nicer design than aftermarket options.

Looks a lot like a Lexus LS; the only Lexus I think is attractive. Good job Bob!

Re: Launch: 2010 Buick LaCrosse Photos

I haven't seen one yet. I don't think the local Buick dealer got it in yet. They get Enclaves on a regular basis that seem to be GONE by the next day. So I'm stuck staring at Lucernes as I drive by. Not that that's a bad car...I wanna see something new!

Comeon. This car is outstanding and they will fly off the dealer lots like the rest of GM's latest offerings.

Yep, "ahead of the curve"... Holden Caprices in Oz in the old model, i.e. prior to the current Chinese Park Avenue version, had them in 2003! Not a "really expensive car" (though $72K back then wasn't especially cheap, except compared to a Merc or Bimmer!).

Amazing looking... 2 things I've always wished GM would concentrate more on have definitely been addressed: interior and the rear (they always spent alot of time on design of the front-end and side-views, but the rear always seems like an afterthought)

Re: Launch: 2010 Buick LaCrosse Photos

Since some people here are posting their own pics as well, I figure I might do so...

I live in Oshawa, near to where the founder of GM Canada lived. He also was responsible for the McLaughlin Buicks.

I took a pre-production LaCROSSE (when it was still badged as "Allure" up here, heh) to his house.

I think it looks at home...
