They didn't go far enough to make this a Buick IMO. Removing the color from the Buick badge was another in a long line of mistakes Buick and GM made along with the stupid across the board name changes.

I agree with you. I don't understand why GM didn't figure this out!

That doesn't mean that the people who do want them should be prevented from having them though does it. I actually think that if you asked ten random people in a supermarket car park whether there car was FWD or RWD half either wouldn't know, wouldn't care or would have answered incorrectly. maybe someone could try it out.

They modified an Australian car for Chinese conditions so they tailored it to what they see as their customers wants (even RWD) - then they gave it an American brand. What is wrong with that.

There'd be nothing wrong if GM truely did that (that also means doing that in North America too).

Re: Buick Park Avenue facelift spotted in China

Unfortunately for you guys it was only their Chinese customers they were concerned with on this particular venture. I agree with you but obviously someone in marketing doesn't think you want a large RWD car. Seems strange to me judging by the reaction on this site over the last couple of years to the Park Avenue.
Still there is hope. I was told at the Melbourne Motor Show that Holden were working on three US projects. I think one was the Camaro convertible, the second is the police vehicle so maybe the third may still exist.
