2011 Regal Shows up on Facebook...Again
This time GM does the leaking themselves.

Just over a week ago an extremely clear view of the upcoming 2011 Buick Regal sedan was posted on Facebook by a keen-eyed fan. That car was spotted just out of Grand Rapids, Michigan leaving a General Motors event. Now, here we are again with the new Regal showing up on Facebook.

Just a few minutes ago the Buick PR team that runs the Buick Facebook page posted a very dark video of the new sedan. They claim it is of the Regal inside GM design studios. Not much is visible on the car other than the grille and some lines. The camera-operator moves rather swiftly in filming the car. Expect to see the -whole- car in December at the LA Auto Show.

I think that's because the European (read: Opel) facia is being used verbatim. The only part specific to Buick is the grille inserted into the same opening as the Opel's. Look closely at a shot of the front of the Insignia and you'll see what I mean. The fog lamp units are the same as the Opel, too. This is essentially a Buick Catera.

Whats the big secret??? The new Regal is an Opel Insignia with a current Buick Grill. There are many photos available. The powerplant configurations are what I am interested to see.
