So I take it that a shot that barely uncovers a third of the car with fake lights and unfinished details is sufficient for you to pronounce this DOA.

I see a Buick grille, lower fascia, fender, windshield and a filthy dirty door. I think I'll reserve judgement for the real deal.

You were expecting what?

Lexus, Acura, and Infinity usually strecth the wheelbase about 4 inches and do some window changes in order to convince the public their luxury brands are not the same as the generic base car. This is a perfect example of GM's perpetual ignorance that will result in their eventual demise.

Re: 2010 Buick LaCrosse UNCOVERD

Hard to tell from the picture here how its going to look. I think what will be the difference is the interior to differentiate between the other epsilon cars.

I don't think this is the Invicta concept...if that is supposed to be a 4 door coupe, I don't think the B pillar would look like that?!?!?

Re: 2010 Buick LaCrosse UNCOVERD

What were you people expecting??

I've suspected all along that the Invicta would use the Insignia centre section with unique door skins and unique front and rear sheetmetal. And surely a unique interior (which many customers value over exterior styling anyway these days...)

I don't see what's so bad about that. It'll share no more common sheetmetal than a G6 does with an Aura, yet those two manage to come across as different vehicles with different feels.

What's important is that the Invicta looks great, and is refined, luxurious, and a bit sophisticated. I see no reason why it can't more than match the Lexus ES, Opel roof pressing or not...

Re: 2010 Buick LaCrosse UNCOVERD

It's the Lacrosse, and yes the Aura and it looks alot alike. I got a chance to drive one preproduction Lacrosse 2 week ago and the thing drives like a dream for a car not ready for the real world.

Re: 2010 Buick LaCrosse UNCOVERD

I think that they can not do as much differentiation without one being cube shaped Acadia/enclave style

This seems to be the next gen Buick LaCrosse preproduction car, but somewhere in China for testing. The new LaCrosse will be sold both in America and in China with the same design as they are Buick's two major markets. Also remember that the headlights are pre-prodution units, and NOT THE INTENDED PRODUCTION PART!!

the Buick Enclave meets the Saturn Aura. Not bad looking. Can't wait to see it at the LA Auto Show

Hi shawn thanks for sharing your eyewitness account with us. If you can answer a few of my questions I was wondering what does the exterior styling of the lacrosse (the taillight area in particular) look like? Also I understand that some elements of the interior are still in the preproduction stages but what can we expect out of the interior of the new lacrosse? Lastly we have seen several photoshops of the exterior styling in previous posts in this thread. Are the photoshops close to the real deal or can we expect to see totally different styling? Oh and before i forget to ask this (if you can share it) What powertrain choices will be avalible for the new lacrosse?

I think it looks pretty nice, obviously it's a prototype. The front end looks similar to the Enclave.

Can't View Vince's site from work , is there anybody else hosting the pic? The other pics come through as red x's. Seems to be alot of handwringing here. I thought this car was supposed to be stunning?!

Invicta and Insignia share no exterior pieces with one another.

Re: 2010 Buick LaCrosse UNCOVERD

yes but they both sit on epsilon 2 which is brand new from top to bottom every nut and bolt. It is certainly not related to ep1 in any way. And its certainly no reskin.
