When do dealers start ordering 2009 models?
I have waited for long enough. Im going to be ordering a 2009 Sierra Denali from the factory if there is something worthwhile being changed from the 2008 model year. Otherwise I might just buy one on the lot that hopefully has everything I want and not stuff that I really don't want.
First off does anybody already know ahead of time what might come with the new year? I read somewhere possibly a different version of the 6.2L either a AFM or flex fuel. Forgot which it said now but I would guess AFM since the flex fuel would need some very large injectors. I know that the 2009 ordering information is scheduled to be released April 14th. Does anybody know when the first day will be on which the dealers can start putting in their orders for the new trucks? Hoping to get into the dealer before this time to put in an order if I decide to go the 2009 route. Thanks ahead of time for any information! ![]()

Re: When do dealers start ordering 2009 models?
For the 2009 Sierra:
Initial order date- 4/17/2008 Production start- 6/16/2008 for 1500 Crew & Extended Cab; 6/23/2008 for 1500 Regular Cab and 2500/3500 Crew Cab; 7/14/2008 for 2500/3500 Non-Crew Cab I don't know if the Denali is subject to any order restrictions.
