    Transfer GM Card Points ?

    My friend has gm card points and will not be using them, is there any way to give them to me who is not related to him at all but Can get a GM card if need be ?

    He can add you to his card as a authorized user and remove your name after the deal is over. This works for a fact !

    that is correct you'll have to be an authorized user for at least 3 to 4 days prior to redemption

    Are GM Card points treated as a rebate or as a discount? In other words, are they deducted after sales tax calculation or before?

    can you do this, get on someones card, and combine w/ your own personal earnings on your own GM card?

    Treated as a rebate. It will be deducted after sales tax calculation. I know it sucks, but that is the state law in Tennessee and most other states as well.

    I'm an old Vol from Tennessee. Our state calulates sales tax prior to Rebates being deducted, but I was unsure if my card points were considered a "rebate" or a "discount".
    Tennessee has no income tax, but they make up for it with a HIGH sales tax rate!

    Yep it's treated as a rebate and I just LOVE our 9.75% state sales tax.
