Re: Suburban 2500 - How good of a deal can one get
Congrats on the new Sub.
Around here, your biggest problem would have been finding one. I went looking for a 4x4 2500 a week or so ago, and none were to be found. I did have two 4x2 2500's in stock ordered for state contract customers, and got 2-3 calls a day until they went off our Dealerworld inventory. You got a fair price on a fairly rare unit. Enjoy the new truck, and thanks for going Chevrolet!

Re: Suburban 2500 - How good of a deal can one get
Congratulations on the new 3/4 ton Suburban! I'm a little jealous.
They certainly do seem to be rare. I've seen maybe 5 of the GMT900 3/4 Suburbans and I live in the heart of GM country in mid-Michigan. We just bought a 24-ft travel trailer a year ago, and while our 2000 1/2 ton Suburban pulls it fine here in MI, our trip to the Black Hills in SD this summer made me wish I was packing more horsepower and more gears. We also have a 19.5 ft. boat, but that's no problem at all for our 'Burb. The 2500 Suburban seems like kind of a bargain compared to what you have to do got get something more than the 5.3L and/or 4-speed automatic (Denali/Escalade). Hope you enjoy it, and let us know how it tows and your solo/towing mileage. |
