Meaning if you purchase 30k km's/year and only drive 80k km's in 3 years. They refund you 10k km's

The miles DO matter if you're going to finance. Have you been able to get a deal bought for 20k on a 100k+ mile car? It can happen but you'll pay a ton for financing. Paying cash would negate this situation.
GMAC does refund miles if you bought miles over 15k/yr. They'll refund them to you at the same rate you purchased them within 20-30 days of the vehicle selling at auction less the excess wear and tear you may owe.
