Pontiac G8 GT - When to buy???

I have decided on a G8 GT as my next vehicle since I will be having a kid in November. I was planning on buying sometime around February of 09' and using my tax rebate as a down payment. Now that the employee pricing deal is out should I get an 08' now or just wait until next year and get the 09' because I really want Stryker Blue and it's an 09' color.

Thumbs up Re: Pontiac G8 GT - When to buy???

The 2009's are out now. At this point, you would be picking something out from dealer inventory if you wanted a 2008.

Great choice for colour!

I would get an '08, because the hole in the dash where the gauges used to be looks really tacky.

Re: Pontiac G8 GT - When to buy???

I'd buy an '08 now..... In fact I did! For an '09, you'll pay at least $1,300 more & dont know what the incentives will be next year, whether better or worse.

I just signed on the dotted line for an '08 yesterday:

$32,295 MSRP

Paid:
29,806 GMS Pricing
-8,150 Trade (2004 Grand Prix GTP/CompG,43k Miles)... Galves Value is $8,425
-1,598 GM Card Earnings
+1,759 NY Sales tax
$21,817 OTD

Whatever you do, don't settle for something you don't want. If you can find an '08 you like, why not? That way we get pictures sooner!

I would think ANYTIME would be good. They don't sell very well and you could probably find a big discount on an '08.

Congrats on your new G8!! I see you were able to use your GM card earnings. That's one thing that pisses off a lot of the employees is how they no longer can use their GM cards (unless is the GM extended family card at 1%).
Hope you love your new Pontiac. Nice car.
