Re: My reluctancy with Pontiac and Performance

Why can't you take it to your old chevy dealer?

Re: My reluctancy with Pontiac and Performance

Regardless of where the tires were purchased from, why can't the dealer not scratch the rims?

Re: My reluctancy with Pontiac and Performance

Plain and simple the dealer didn't want the risk for a lousy
$50 dollar bill.

They figured they had a tightwad and possible complainer with
his elsewhere bought tires and own oil and filter and they dusted
him...............

I'm sure there is more to this story. Bottom Line they chose not to install them.It is their right. They probably saw a chance of future trouble (AG) from this guy.

Re: My reluctancy with Pontiac and Performance

It isn't like the dealer would use different tire mounting equipment whether he bought the tires there or not

Go to a gas station. Would you bring bread to the deli and ask them to make a sandwich? These guys need to make a buck.

Just some food for thought...

I politely wish to say that you missed my point. If he called back posing as someone else with a 2002 Trans Am, or hell, if he went back to the dealer with his GTO and asks them to order and install a new set 4 of tires, the dealer STILL would be reluctant to deal with the wheels or scratch them, and the dealer STILL would not understand using Mobil 1.

There's a great thread in the Staff Commentary forum about "the old GM dealership mentality". I myself would write a letter and complain to GM as well as the dealer owner and managers.

Well then...............Take your subaru to the local suby dealer and whip out yer
own "special" oil and filter or other parts NOT purchased there and ask them
to install them for you. Or even better your own tires that you purchased
elsewhere I am sure you would get the blowoff as well !!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry.............A full PAY retail dealer purchasing customer comes first in ANY
dealers book! A roach is shown the door.....................

Why are you beating a dead horse???? A dealer guy offered the real world
opinion above and thats the way it is !!!!!!!!!!!!

So someone that buys their tires on the internet is a roach? Do you work at a GM dealership?

Re: My reluctancy with Pontiac and Performance

NOPE...........Don't work in the car business.

Just calling them as I see them ! Its just sour grapes posts from a roach trying to get something for nothing and then sniveling all over the net because they couldn't get their way!
It would work the same way no matter if it was ANY dealer and not just Pontiac!

Thanks for your 2 cents anyhoo !

Do you pull the same tricks too? I figured my response would
bring out the hate posts from the cheapskates and complainers!
