Let me ask you a Question, Was that few hundred dollars well spent? Was it worth it to get the car 4 to 6 weeks earlier? My guess is your answer will be Yes...

I am not opposed to paying a fair price, but what I don't really like is how GM chooses not to put any effort into this particular product, and they know there are issues with regards to the transmission.

Sure, I could buy something else. I probably should, as it's an aging platform, possibly it's final year, has a poor interior, and a very low feature transmission.

I'd go for the Tahoe, but I don't want something that big to go on sales calls...it's something about 5500 pounds being a lot of weight (fuel, braking distance, handling), and while the nicer imports are very nice inside, they don't have the utility (Infiniti FX).

The best price I got on one, granted I am stuck on a blue one with 3ss and no NAV, is $2300 off msrp, or about $500 under invoice.

Again, your insight is appreciated.

Update:

I went in to order a trailblazer and told the person I had been working with for awhile about the offer I was given (I told the one that I would give them a shot before buying anything), so they knocked $300 off, which was cool.

I thought I was all set, and then they hit me with a $700+ advertising fee. What's up with that?

This is really irritating me. When they promise x amount above/below invoice, never mentioning this ad fee, then hit me with it after I get there, that's not cool.

Anyone know where I can order this, even out of state, and have it delivered in CA w/o ad fees or other? My price, even if I had to pay ad fees, was under GM Supplier, but I don't like getting hit like that. I was already about to figure my payments out.

Thanks.

Re: Dealer Advertising on Invoice - yes or no?

The GM Supplier price includes all fees including advertising at the price listed on the invoice. It is in the area that says "SUPPLR: xxxxx.xx" on the right hand side of the invoice.

If they give you the supplier price and use your authorization number, they are bound by that price.

On delivery, there is a document for you to sign that says that they showed you the supplier price on the invoice and you verify it is correct.

Somethin's fishy!

The price you pay is on the invoice. There is no question, you have to sign off
that they showed you the price on the invoice. Not hard at all. If you give me the last eight I will tell you what you should pay.

i do believe the holdback to be 3% if it really matters, if your looking at old age inventory or slow movers it is not uncommon for dealers to give some of it up to move those items, if it is good sellers good luck getting any of it.
