2008 GMC Acadia SLT-2 on order

MSRP $45,310

Getting it for $41,000 and getting it delivered to my house. The salesman that I'm working with has been phenominal. I'm a very happy camper tonight! I have almost $4000 in GM and Citibank Drivers Edge $$ that will go towards it as well...dropping it to $37k...and that's before I even put a penny down on it. What are the odds that GM will place inventives on the Acadia in 10-12 weeks? Probably slim to none.

Re: 2008 GMC Acadia SLT-2 on order

Nice price - I dont think any dealers in the Washington DC area would sell a loaded one for 41K without giving up a first born!

Im hoping to achieve the same price point when I go for my Enclave/Acadia next year (and $3500 GM card earnings )

Nice job. So I guess you went with the Acadia over the Enclave.....

Did you deal with a local salesman on the floor of the dealer or go internet? Just curious. That price sounds right around invoice - impressive deal on a new car that is selling well.

I'm in the market for a 2008 CTS and am trying to figure how to get a $44K MSRP CTS for $40-41K.

Re: 2008 GMC Acadia SLT-2 on order

I actually dealt with a dealer about three hours away...all through email. The salesman has been fantastic. However, I may need to cancel my order. My wife just dropped a bomb on me...her old practice is deciding not to pay her tail insurance (form of malpractice)...which is strictly against her contract...so we now have a $19k bill due at the end of the month. We've already been in contact with a contract lawyer to review this. I'm feeling extremely ill right now.

Ouch, that stinks. Good luck with that.

Re: 2008 GMC Acadia SLT-2 on order

Good news is that my wife's old practice lived up to their contractural agreement and paid the insurance. The bad news is that I still have to wait for my Acadia. It's been almost three weeks now and it's still at the same 2000 status / priority 7. I'm not in a huge hurry to get it...but the thought of driving it just makes me drool. Mmmmm....Acadia.

In the meantime...I continue to add a little more to my GM Credit Card earnings...now up to $3420.

Re: 2008 GMC Acadia SLT-2 on order

Congrats. I really like the Acadia. I especially like the interior. I don't know why, but it just looks so refined.

I hope the wait isn't too long. I'm waiting on an Enclave and I've been told "October". Incentives with that type of wait? I doubt it.

What does 2000 status mean?

Yeah, likely not, especially when regardless of time, dealers are still selling them off the lot almost immediately regardless of options and trim.

Cool...thanks. I will try to track my CTS order the same way. Dealer said he would call Tuesday with production info.

Re: 2008 GMC Acadia SLT-2 on order

Just heard from my dealer that my 08 CTS was accepted for production by GM and he gave me an order number. No production date yet though.

I guess that would be status code 2000?
