07 GM "clearance" incentives suck!

07 GM "clearance" incentives suck!

This is m vent thread to release some frustration.
Last summer I got my 06 SS with $800 off MSRP and 0% for 72 months. What a deal!

Now I’ve been trying to get my wife a G6 but the incentives suck. If they offered 0% for 72 I’d buy one in a heartbeat. I think I’m pretty much stuck buying a used car.

Sucks and it makes me mad! I hope they have 07’s on lots till 2010
Does GM offer 0% for 72 on any 07 4 door cars under $20K? The dealers I spoke with don’t know WTF?!

Re: 07 GM "clearance" incentives suck!

there is not any gm car that i know of in the '07 model year that 0% for 72 months on it. they have stayed with rebates on the cars and are focusing the 0% on the higher priced units.

maybe try honda or toyota...I hear they are around 6-8% if the 1.9 and 3.9% GM has is not good enough, I mean really with the best trucks on the market, the best warranty on the market, some very well equipped and low priced Cars, WTF would you like, nobody outside of Chrysler offers 0 for 72 and their vehciles are **** so go get one of those...

you pay for what you get...presidents choice cookies are cheaper to but I dont buy them, they suck.

ya know I do really,

This just makes me irate people complain about buying one of the best vehicles on the market at interest rates several points below any of the competitore, aside from ford and Chrysler, and sorry if you compare chrysler to GM, well you dont deserve a GM.....honda and Toyota get away with well here it is 6.9 and 8.9 on their trucks and people complaing about 1.9 and 3.9 for a truck that is better, has a better warranty, payload, ETC ETC....

anyhow see now your getting me going again

and as far as 07 trucks on the lot outside of a few cars, we are WAY under stocked right now and selling them for about 500 to 1500 off sticker, and people are lining up for them...first 08 went today, full sticker and 6.9%...cause ya know why...they appreciate a nice truck.

There are several Chrysler products that compare favorably to GM products, and vice versa.

No need to get ugly about it.

not getting ugle, I dont really consider a dodge truck comparison for a GM easy to walk all over a dodge truck...their cars are not bad good style and nice looks, Vans well they have been doing it forever....more talking trucks here.....but even their cars and Vans if you know your stuff they are easy to beat in comparisons

Its like the people that say 'well the toyota truck is better' and you say 'what do you base that on' and they say 'well cause its a toyota', ....and then look at you like isnt it?....

GM has some of the best rates out there right now consider what your getting as well. want a cheap car go buy an Aveo....LOL oh ya they are not 0% either.....LOL

But you have to admit Chrysler is practically giving away Dodge Trucks and certain Jeeps.

In the paper I saw a well equipped Dakota for $129 a month lease for 24 months with employee price, the everyone price wasn't much higher!

Re: 07 GM "clearance" incentives suck!

Wait till later on in the year and maybe they will offer the incentive you want Or ? Drop an option or two and buy a less expensive version.

Didn't GM lower the prices on their car this year compared to last? Maybe thats why they aren't doing zero percent for 72 months..

Hell I never even knew they did that for 72 months..

figure out the difference of zero percent versus whatever a regular loan will be...

The just work the price down a bit compared to what they were priced at last year and I'd imagine its not too big a difference one way or the other.

Good luck in whatever you work out.

JB

Re: 07 GM "clearance" incentives suck!

Well, unfortunatley my GF just bought a Versa, with my indorsement

It is a better car then the Aveo, has a lower base price when comprably equipped.

And the kicker was that I was able to get a $500.00 rebate plus $350.00 under MSRP (which is almost as much as I would have gotten off the Aveo with my supplier discount) plus 4.9% to 60 months.

Aveo?? No rebate, less standard safety features, smaller car, and 5.9 % to 60 months.

Did you read my post? Show me where I can get a new $20K 4 door GM sedan for 1.9% interest for 60 or 72 months! I’ll buy it today.
Yea they have 0% for 60 on trucks, but I’m not looking for a big truck that is over $20K anyway

Re: 07 GM "clearance" incentives suck!

^^ not sure about the other gm brands. i only have chevy here at my store. it's not a sedan but.............. the LS equinox can be bought for around that price with 1.9 for 60. or a 3000 rebate. the impala can be bought for under 20000 after rebate, but you're right it doesn't have a low, low rate. i've got LT hhr's running for less than 16000 after rebate right now. a better question would be this. and forgive me for sounding like a "salesman". what is your goal? exactly what payment range are you looking to be in? you may be surprized to find out that you can get where you are wanting to be by taking the rebates on some of these vehicles. just trying to help..........

Yeah but how much did they want as a down payment? They always get you with the fine print.

Long Island/NYC Nissan dealers are really notorious for this. For example one ad shows a new '07 Altima for only $15,000. You think, wow great deal. Then you read the fine print "with $5,000 down payment", so in reality you only save a few hundred bucks off the sticker.

One local Chevy dealer actually advertised finance and lease rates that included tax, etc. That was refreshing to see. I would still bet most people got hooked on the LOW, LOW PRICE ads and avoided the one honest advertisement out there.

Honda and toyota still have those high financing deals in thes states? In canada Honda is advertising .9% on its whole lineup. But only for 3 years. Toyota goes even lower for longer.
