Re: Today (5.15.09) is the Day
I've heard most of the 1,000 or so are Pontiac-Buick-GMC dealers, but in urban areas all brands are in danger of cut.

nsap. Do you know if this cut is affecting Saab dealers? Or they not bothering with the few Saab dealership, since in a month or two they will not longer be affiliated?

I don't think so. GM's total cut involves all the Saab dealerships since they are going to sell them or kill them.

Re: Today (5.15.09) is the Day
I think GM canning 1000 dealers is a diversion, so people would argue that the dealers were deficient in some way and therefore deserved it. It's easier to cut the "bad" dealers than the "good" dealers.

Re: Today (5.15.09) is the Day
Fed Ex came by about 10:00 this morning with letter from GM advising they were continuing to support SAAB dealers, and that there would be no changes regarding the existing dealer agreements for the time being.
What kind of sick idiot sends that letter out today? So far - we're OK.

Re: Today (5.15.09) is the Day
We are good as well, but a big Pontiac/GMC dealer in town got the axe. Saw that one coming though when they announced they were cutting Pontiac...
