Safety question for Sales and Managers!

I have recently posted a thread called "AWD Tire Size Mismatch Safety Sales Training".

My question to you is; Do you have or believe you should have AWD Tire Size Mismatch Safety Sales Training?

I was recently in a life threatning event due to this. This should raise a red flag.

Please review my post and thank you for to all that respond.

Re: Safety question for Sales and Managers!

Hi again ++++++,

Yes very true regarding we already have a thread for this topic.
I did recieve a great amount of good responses.
But unfortunately, possibly due to my own wording I was not recieving the exact type of answers I had originaly set out for.
Thank you for your answer to my question on this thread.
It is exactly the type of information I am looking for.
I'm hoping that the majority of dealerships abide but the same sales practices as yours.

Re: Safety question for Sales and Managers!

My dealership may be an exception but we have only ever had 2 awd models on our lot in 10 years. I asked around and no one seems to know about this issue. What is scary none of the local tire shops as well has ever heard of this. I am in a small town in the south there are not to many awd cars and trucks here. My local tire shops do however always recommend changing all 4 tires and not just 2. Another note are you sure the dealer put the 2 new tires on the suv. I cant tell you the number of times customers change tires then trade in. You didn't notice when you took it for a test drive that it was bucking and skipping?

That is very intuative of you and thank you for reading my posts carefully.
When My wife and I took the vehicle for the test ride all 4 tires were evenly worn but one of the aluminum wheels had a severe dent in the rim. The dent had done some pretty decent structure damage to the wheel and I asked them to replace it. They replaced the rear wheels and installed two new tires on them. We then headed out on our honey moon to Cape Cod MA and the Rainier started with the bucking on one occasion turning out of breakfast resturaunt onto a rotary. Of course my wife being the typical wife grabbed her seat and said, "your going to get that checked right"? ha. I have since done a lot of research and have a support call with GMC customer care. They are telling me there is a Sales training policy regarding this issue, but it is up to the private dealer to enforce it.

Thank you Linton.

Re: Safety question for Sales and Managers!

Sounds like good training for the service dept as all used vehicles go through a safety inspection.

Service advisors and mechanics should be aware.

Thank you reader,

I'm hoping the dealer steps up and will train their staff. Safety first, well at least I think it should be. Every company I worked for and for every product I ever produced or sold, this is a global standard.
