Question For Current GM Salespeople

What's a salesperson paid for selling a vehicle at employee price? Any additional spiffs for volume selling?

Does GM have any salesperson incentives at this time?

Re: Question For Current GM Salespeople

My dealership is lucky we get paid out of the holdback. We are a small dealer and we didnt sign up for the moe program which costs our dealership a few thousand to sign up for just so we could earn $100 per vehicle after the 2nd sold unit during this sale. We get paid better during the sale because we do get more of the holdback but its not a real good deal for sales people in most dealerships.

Has the sales volume increase offset loss in commissions at all?

Re: Question For Current GM Salespeople

We get $100 flat on the front and 15% of the back. from 8-20 to 9-2 we got $100 per car from GM after the first qualifier. I feel like I am doing fine I had 17 Chevys during the sale so I got an additonal $1600 from GM. We get unit bonus from our store also.

Re: Question For Current GM Salespeople

Our retail guys get a $100.00 mini, plus the $100.00 GM spiff after the first unit. It's terrible in my opinion.

Why not?

The retail pay plan here is flat (no gross-based commissions) with three volume bonuses. So no change.

Ours is all gross based, we get 25% of gross and 27% if CSI is above national average...few spiffs but mostly on total units, so an employee deal would give us a 'sticker' towards our total for the month and if we hit our targets there is bonuses.

Sorry, didn't make that reply specific. My second line was in response to the original author. I wanted to know why you all aren't doing delivery walk-arounds during this program.
