Pontiac G3 Announcement Tomorrow!
Heard from a source that Docherty will introduce officially the production of the Pontiac G3! Looks to be ready by end of 2008 as a new 09 model.
Rebadge, not a "performance car", whatever you wanna call it, Pontiac needs it! |

Re: Pontiac G3 Announcement Tomorrow!
The Pontiac Canada site already has it named the G3 Wave. I'm so sick of this ****ty American naming convention. Wave sucked, but it's better than "G3", or 5,6,8 while we're at it.

Re: Pontiac G3 Announcement Tomorrow!
It's not that Pontiac needs it. The PBG channels needs it. G3 is a better choice than the alternatives, Buick Skyturd, or GMC Pebble.

Re: Pontiac G3 Announcement Tomorrow!
Ummm... why can't they start selling it tomorrow? It exists in Canada and Mexico... I don't see why it's going to take so long to get it to market.
Not that I think this car should exist. But since it's going to, it should exist now.

It is my understanding that for the 09MY the Wave is expected to get an Ecotech 1.6L in place of the GMDAT 1.6L that currently lives in the Canadian Waves and Mexican G3s. I would bet that the delay to intoduce into the US market is to make the vehicle launch happen with the new engine.

Presenting the 2009 Pontiac 1990 Daihatsu!
Ridiculous. With some soulful design, they could make a sexy little coupe on the same basic architecture. Why butcher Pontiac like this? |
