GMS for everyone starts August 20th !

The word is that GM will announce on August 20th....GMS (GM Employee) pricing for everyone until Aug 31st. Haven't heard what vehicles, but I would bet all 2008 model year GM Vehicles.

Sweet! Still gonna kill people with trade in's though. People can't get anything for their used cars when GM keeps lowering the new price. Great news for first time buyers or people who just keep or junk their old vehicle.

.....ho hum, another scheme to give the illusion buyers are going to get a deal. Wait until December when GM is starving for sales after killing leasing. GM Employee pricing will be a joke compared to what they will be willing to sell cars for.

GMS is NOT employee pricing, it is supplier pricing! Many products, the dealers can beat it on anyways.

We need to clear this up, because often people mean one thing but state the wrong name or lettering. Supplier isn't that great, but Employee is. Which will it be? I presume the latter, but just so it's specified.

GMS= GM employee pricing
GSU= GM Supplier pricing which is 4.5% more than employee pricing.

June 2005 was GMS pricing which was a fantastic deal, at lease $1,000 to $2,000 below invoice! If it's true that GMS for everyone will start again on August 19th, than that is the best deal you can make from a dealer, especially if GM throws other incentives on top of that. Last time GM did this, Chrysler and Ford followed and all manufacturers had a great summer.
