Re: fleet order

To obtain fleet discounts a purchaser must own, be buying, or be leasing at least fifteen vehicles, or must purchase or lease five at once.

Re: fleet order

I have managed to get fleet pricing on a single car.

Buy the sales rep who places the fleet orders a beer... In the good old days of "good customer service" at the dealership they would do anything to get a sale.

My 83 Z28 was a "fleet" sale. One of one
as was my 91 Toronado... One of one

They're going cheap only $20.00, nope 15.50, nope 14.77, nope 13.77... CRAP $11.50 OMG 10.06

Stop the presses! The turnaround has begun... we are back trading in the 12's
Never mind back in the 10's, 9's, 8's, 7's, 6's, 5's, 4's, 3's $2's, 1.70 Anyone Surprised?

I wouldn't screw the dealership (or my commission) to save you a couple hundred bucks. Maybe things have changed in twenty years but fleet sales are not as lucrative to dealerships as non-fleet commercial deals.

Re: fleet order

Very true, when "I" bought the Camaro this was at least the 8th or 9th car that me and my family had bought new at the dealership. The sales rep that we had bought all of these cars through had been promoted to the Fleet Manager position and he still liked to sell us cars.

With the fleet portfolio he had access to options and "delete options" that a "normal" purchaser can't buy... I never did take him up on the chance to buy a "Police BC4 Camaro" and I'm still kicking myself over this.

I forgot to add that my 2001 Intrigue GLS was also a fleet purchase...

Right after that purchase he retired. Now I buy like everyone else...
But as with everything else in life, if you know someone, the rules do not apply. Sadly most of my "dealership" contacts are switching to sell Toyotas or are retiring.

I don't think that that should stop you from buying through a commercial department. You may not receive fleet discounts anymore but the process should be the same. Besides, with high rebates nowadays, a fleet discount is usually only good for $250.

Re: fleet order

You can get fleet pricing if you have a FAN # or you have a fleet already.

I'm thinking they said they gve you the fleet discount but it was the dealerships dicount not the manufacturers. They couldn't have claimed for the credit because you have no fan number. Just my thoughts.
